Frequently Asked Questions
How long have you been in business?
Since 2012! I received my BFA in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2008 then went on to photograph bands for a while, and I ended up being a 2nd shooter on weddings for another photographer for about 1.5 years.
How would you describe your style of photography?
I love capturing real, candid moments. So I work in a semi-photojournalistic way, in the sense that I like to be hands-off for the most part. I also love connecting and joke around a ton, which means you get the best of both worlds! I enjoy capturing the details as well, it helps bring the whole wedding come together when edited, to tell your story.
The same should be said for photographs of guests during a wedding day... capturing candid moments of laughter and love, instead of stopping and posing is key to a successful wedding photo day.
When it comes time for portraits & group shots, I will guide you and direct very lightly when needed.
Do you edit all the photographs?
Yes! Every image has been edited one-by-one and carefully chosen by me. I do not outcource my images. I use lightroom for the bulk of the editing, and then photoshop if any minor retouching is needed.
How many digital images will I receive?
It really depends on the number of hours have been captured, how many photographers are capturing your day, and there is a number of factors. Typically a half day I guarantee 300+ photos and a full day is 600+.
How long before I receive my photos?
8-10 weeks is the usual (and noted in the contract), unless stated otherwise. Your digital images will be posted on the online galleries (for viewing, sharing, downloading and ordering of prints).
Where do I order prints?
The share site with your online gallery is a perfect place to order prints. WHCC is one of the largest + best printing houses in the U.S. and they do the printing through my share site (PASS).
Do you photograph weddings outside of Kentucky?
I love to travel and photograph weddings all over! Discounts available for destination weddings.
